Yesterday was our friend RD’s 28th birthday, so we all went up to the Sand Dunes pool. Originally we thought we’d go to the Sand Dunes and hike to the top, but with it over 90 degrees every day lately, we decided the pool was a better choice. We spent several hours at the pool and I think all but the birthday boy got burned.
Somehow The Sweetness missed a few strips on his legs and chest and didn’t think about sunburn under his arms, so he’s extra crispy. He’s got some stylish tan lines now.
I am paranoid about the sun and lathered myself, but still got burned, mostly on the fact that I am so very pale. Once I look a little pink, I’ve burned. The Sweetness has it figured out now so he can watch for burning . I didn’t look burned at all when we left, by the time we got home, my back looked like this:
Not to mention the burn on my butt! It’s not the worst ever, but it sucks sitting down. I had a good time though all in all, the sunburn was worth it. I didn’t even have any episodes!
We bought RD a bottle of Jameson and made him a gallon jar of The Sweetness’ Death Sauce. The label I made says it shouldn’t be consumed by anyone…ever. It’s got Sadie’s Salsa, Habanero Peppers, Everclear, Roasted Jalapenos and Ghost peppers. RD thinks he’ll have it finished by August. I will be horrified if he does.
